Lightening McQueen in the Desert

This client came in wanting a Lightening McQueen cake, but one where they are in the desert.   This is what I came up with.   I know its a little mundane, but I have to do the mundane, with the really fabulous. =)

The bottom layer of cake is chocolate with raspberry filing, the mesa mountains are made of marble cakes with a lemon filling.  

Decorations are made of buttercream.

I used sanding sugar for the road.

This is a 1/2 sheet cake and 1/4 sheet used for mesa mountains.
